Midsomer Norton and Radstock Silver Band are a Third Section band who rehearse twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays; 7.30 – 9.30pm and 7,30 – 9.00pm respectively.

The band enjoys supporting local communities by performing at fairs, festivals, bandstands, marches,  community halls and generally entertaining people and getting their toes tapping!  Our wide and varied repertoire includes music from films, musicals and TV, rock, pop, jazz and blues, ballads, classical and marches.

We also contest and regularly compete in the West of England Regional Championships at Torquay in March each year.

We are constantly looking for new members and are always keen to hear from people who would like to join us.  Don’t worry if you haven’t got an instrument – we will provide you with a suitable instrument on loan – and it’s all included in the monthly membership fee.  At the moment we are especially keen to hear from you if you play cornet,  trombone or percussion.  We also have a growing Training Band where we train and develop new players.
