Training Band

Have you ever wanted to learn a brass instrument?  Here is your opportunity to do so.  The Training Band is here to help people of all ages learn to play brass instruments.

Midsomer Norton & Radstock Silver Band has a long history and a proven track record in teaching people of all ages to play brass instruments.  The Training Band was formed in 1980 and has launched 100s of people on their musical career.

So, whether you are 6 or 60 years old; a complete beginner, a rusty returner, or perhaps you learnt to play a different instrument and want to have a go at brass, we will provide tuition to meet your needs.

When you join the Training Band you will be provided with an instrument to learn on and music to play.  Much of your learning will be in a group, playing appropriate level ensemble pieces.

In the Training Band we see new players gradually grow in self confidence.  They also build friendships with other people who also share a love of music.  Sometimes whole families end up joining us as parents see what fun their children are having!

The band is a registered charity, so we keep band fees at a very competitive rate in order to give as many people as possible this amazing opportunity to learn to play music.

Training Band runs on Tuesday 6.15 pm – 7.00 pm  at the Methodist Church, The Street, Radstock, BA3 3PL.
