Midsomer Norton and Radstock Silver Band will provide Remembrance Day music and hymns before the parade and also marches as the parade approaches the War Memorial.
Parade will stop at the War Memorial, where the two minute’s silence will be observed at 11.00am.
Wells Bandstand Concert
It’s such a delight to be playing on the bandstand at the Wells Recreation Ground near the Bishop’s Palace. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of music. We will be playing a wide selection of music from pop and rock to jazz, blues and ballads, music from the movies and of course a rousing march or two!
Bring a picnic and your chair or blanket and make an afternoon of it.
Entrance is free, and we will have a collection for donations towards the band instrument fund.
We look forward to entertaining you!
Open Evening
Play a brass instrument, drums or percussion and looking for a band to play with? Maybe you’ve been away from playing for a while and need to blow away those cobwebs or get back into the driving seat! Whatever your instrument don’t play alone! Midsomer Norton & Radstock Silver Band are holding an open evening where brass musicians, drummers and percussionists are invited to come along to our rehearsal for an evening of fun music making. We play a wide variety of music from pop to rock, jazz and blues, music from the movies, beautiful ballads and of course the occasional march!
Don’t have your own instrument? Don’t worry, we’ll lend you one!
If you are planning to come please let us know in advance that you will be attending and also what instrument you play and whether you need to borrow one of our band’s instruments.
