Midsomer Norton and Radstock Silver Band is a registered charity (Charity Commission No. 1081988).

Our charitable work is focused on providing access to music and musical education within our local community. We support people learning to play brass instruments, help existing musicians develop their skills and provide music at community events, concerts, festivals and parades.

Donations help us continue this work and provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in community music-making.

£10 will buy a child’s band uniform polo shirt

• £12 will buy a new music stand

• £15 will buy a music book for a new learner or a cornet mute

• £200 will buy a new student cornet or trombone

As a band we are active in the community, teaching new learners to play brass instruments and supporting experienced brass musicians to develop their playing skill. We also support the local community by performing at various events such as local fetes and festivals, concerts and parades.

Our mission is to provide access to music for all in our community and we achieve this by raising money through a mixture of band membership fees, payment for performing concerts and through grants and charitable donations.
